10:45 am: visit of a winegrower’s estate located in Merfy, 8km from Reims in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. Alexandre and his parents perpetuate a long wine-growing tradition by maintaining artisanal methods in order to protect the natural environment in which their vineyard evolves. The diversity of the soils of this terroir (sandy, clayey, limestone) offers very expressive champagnes that you will taste after visiting the domain.

12:45 am: lunch in a bistronomic restaurant offering simple, balanced and uninhibited cuisine as mentioned by the chef and located in the heart of a bucolic grand cru village: Chigny-les-Roses.

2:30 pm: you will benefit from a guided tour of the artisanal cooperage of Champagne and will understand the influence on wines of aging in the woods. This visit between ancestral know-how and new practices will end with the tasting of a flute of champagne aged in oak barrels in order to identify its aromas.

4:30 pm: visit of an estate, this time focused on organic farming. Meeting this winegrower will allow you to discover another facet of the Champagne’s world and this family’s passion for nature and biodiversity. After the commented tasting of 2 vintages, organic champagne will no longer hold any secrets for you.
